Although only in its second year, the Rhode Island Half Marathon has quickly become one of the premier half marathons in the state. It is managed by Run Rhody, a Rhode Island-based event management company that manages events throughout the Southern New England region. The race starts and finishes at Pierce Memorial Stadium, following a relatively flat and fast looped course that goes South on Veterans Memorial Parkway before looping back to return North on the East Bay Bike Path.
